Fuel economy is very good for the performance, 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. This particular 911 carrera 4s was sold new in san clemente, ca, and spent most of it's life in the ca area. Cosmetically the car makes a great impression. Very striking to look at. Overall it's in excellent condition for it's age and miles. The underside of the front bumper does have the normal use curb rash scratches. The original paint is very nice and freshly polished and waxed. Only light, expected, rock chips on the front end, and one small paint scuff on the rear bumper. The interior is very clean and with no odors, just the pleasant aroma of porsche leather. The top is in very good condition with the typical canvas top wrinkles, a sign of the top being open most of the time. New bridgestone potenza tires were fitted, less than 200 miles ago. Runs strong and has great oil pressure. Shifts smooth, and stop quick. Working a/c (as good as a 911 a/c from the era could). Basically it's a nice 911 to drive and then drive some more. Major service : valve cover gasket kit, distributor cap and rotor, new bosch spark plugs, alternator belt, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, oil, and acc. Replaced starter ring gear : replaced starter ring gear because a tooth on the gear was broken. Motor mounts : replaced all 4 new motor/transmission mounts engine sound pad : new standard pad rear brakes : new brake hose lines, pads, pad sensors - flushed brake fluid. A/c : new o-rings for all a/c hose connections. New a/c dryer/receiver. Charged system with r12 freon. Passenger side heater fan : replace fan under the dash on the passenger side. Cleaned switch connects, and cleaned/oiled seat track surfaces. Replace non working radio : new radio. Average quality brand. Replace half shafts : two used shafts - new grease replaced heater fan : remain. Fan unit sunroof : replaced clips. Rear bumper rubber corner trim : new trim both corners. Old ones were looking old and ugly. Not damaged, just old looking. Car has been repainted. Nice repaint, but not perfect. It's not a glass out restoration repaint, but good everyday car repaint. Smooth finish and a great shine. Some commonly asked questions: number of owners? : unknown for this car. Does everything work on the car? : power door locks do not work. As far as we know everything else works. Very good tread depth and even wear. No major chips or cracks. Just the normal surface nicks. Some bolts and exposed metal surfaces have some surface rust.
